He also has a history of successfully navigating complex entitlements processes, presenting to community groups and easing projects and clients through sometimes difficult public processes.
Dean has spoken at industry events nationwide, including multiple appearances at The International Builder’s Show and the World of Modular on topics ranging from design for resiliency, building performance, building technology, sustainability, and design for manufacturing.
As a result of Dean’s multidisciplinary and sustainability background, he has served as a juror for the DOE Solar Decathlon, an annual event hosted at NREL that is focused on net zero housing solutions internationally. Additionally, Dean has served as a peer reviewer for NREL technical articles on off-site construction, building performance, and sustainability, and regularly collaborates with the NREL team.
